In her drawings and paintings, Vinette explores the tension between control
and chaos. An ever-present grid creates a framework for images that are
stripped of their intended meaning. What remains are abstract compositions
that hint at sky, art, architecture, horizon and earth.

Pergola’s sculptures of mundane objects ruminates on power: what does it mean to inflict pain or dominance? In her artwork, poles are wielded aggressively and skin is considered as an interface. Her concern is how we wrestle with these parts within ourselves, and how it is reflected in the broader world.
