Galleries I and II: Jennifer Day: "Air and Ocean"
In these new paintings, Jennifer Day explores the relationships between liquid phenomena in large-scale oils in black and white.
While Day’s work explores the mystery of natural phenomena, it communicates a vastness of air, water and space that suggests something has just happened, or is about to.
Few elements are solid; most are fugitive. The imposing shapes suggest
an infinity which is both elegant and overwhelming.
